WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE

WHY YOU SHOULDN’T MISS IT
Everyone loves a female wunderkind duo. Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad (rad name), met at everyones favorite DIY spot, The Smell, and started writing their raw, vulgar, intimate debut shortly thereafter. They’re undervalued and pissed off, and they’re going to rip at The Echo.

WHEN

Opening for Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas TONIGHT (7/15).

The Batmobile, Until The Ribbon Breaks and Other Fine Things

The Petersen Automotive Museum
is not only the home of both Steve Mcqueen’s Ferrari and the Batmobile (among other delightful vehicles), it’s now the proud father/mother of an excellently crafted concert series (if we may say so ourselves), that we’ve had a hand in curating. We’ve teamed up with our friends at KCRW to bring you this exciting new summertime rooftop soiree. The two-part event features test drives of the all-new BMW i3 and is made possible by BMW. You can sign up for a test drive here.

Join us this Sunday for part two of our series, with the Welsh born, brooding indie poppers Until The Ribbon Breaks (fresh off opening for Lorde on tour mind you). Looking further on, two of our favorites, Conway and Smallpools will head up the final two sessions.

Admission is a mere $12
and includes admission to the Museum PLUS the opportunity to test drive the emission-less new BMW i3 (thanks guys!).

We can’t stress enough how unreal this car is. It’s EMISSIONLESS, aka beyond environmentally-conscious and agile driving. This puppy, defines the automobile of tomorrow. Its innovative BMW eDrive power train was designed in the scope of the BMW EfficientDynamics technology and is not only locally emission-free, but also offers an incomparable and near-silent driving experience.

Burger Records x The Echo = Burger Saturdays

Burger Records
just about runs this town these days. The panache, the Miler High Life laden swagger, and the downright tunes set them apart in the world of slingin’ rock tunes and putting on gnarly shows.

We’re pretty jazzed to be putting together a series of 3 shows with the Burger folk for the next 3 Saturdays. The appropriately named “Burger Saturdays” is free for all y’all 21+ year olds, and $5 for those that aren’t.

Oh right, the bands.

This Saturday we’ve got The Aqua Dolls + more.

The 19th of July we’re lookin’ at Summer Twins + friends.

Finally, we’re finishing things off July 26th with Vision.

The Return of Twilight Concerts - A Santa Monica Pier Story

After a cozy 9 month hiatus, The Twilight Concert Series is back with us as producers, and we’d be hard pressed to be more pleased about this year’s rendition.

Known for its immaculate and Instagram friendly Santa Monica Pier location as well as wide variety of up coming, veteran, and overall enthralling musical acts, this year’s edition promises to be as memorable a summer as ever in our fair City of Angels.

Join us this Thursday, July 10th for the kickoff show with indie starlets, Cults and our friends James Supercave. Look forward to future performances by PAPA, Cayucas, OK Go, Jagwar Ma, Omar Souleyman, and more. RSVP for all of them via DoLA.

We mentioned all the shows are Free right?

RIP Death Grips.

Their show at Echoplex back in December ‘12 was one of the finest rippers we hosted.

Shout out to Matt Draper for the photos, you can check the entire album here.

Young & Sick are on a journey to bless us with the highly infectious melodies and synth tones that are in abundance on their self-titled and debut album.
Take a listen to their single “Magnolia” and prepare to float downstream to a world of oratory pleasure as they take The Echo stage July 2nd.
