Growing up on eccentric Thrash and Biohazard tunes, San Jose’s Antwon is the kind of rapper who can pull off drinking 40s and pouring Sriracha over crepes while still repping the latest streetwear and knowing the difference between a mctwist and a flare.
He’s the rapper all both World Star and all the zines are talking about. Check out the hype as he hits The Echo this Friday w/ White Lung.

Monday Night Residency with Night Terrors of 1927
Why We Love ‘Em (…and you should too):
Imagine a band with minimal web presence, shrouded in mystery. OH wait here they are. This duo, made up by Jarrod Gorbel and Blake Sennett offer an orchestrated electro pop, romantically crafted sulky sound. What else do we know about them? Well, they’re from LA, thanks to their sound cloud page. Their Facebook was just created and they’re Twitter isn’t active. Besides that, these two want us to remotely focus on their resume of music and nothing else. And well, we can definitely do that.

WHAT LITTLE GREEN CARS SOUND LIKE:
WHY YOU SHOULDN’T MISS IT:
It’s hard not to feel just a little tender after listening to Irish darlings, Little Green Cars. Their music echoes heartache. These aren’t whinny teenage tunes—their wistful harmonies sweep us away into a Fleetwood Mac era wave of nostalgia.
MTV says of their album Absolute Zero,”It’s an album that’s quite heavy to swallow upon its first listening, not only because of the raw, enticing lyrics but the way they excel at delivering moody crescendos — a perfected soundtrack to falling tears.”
Fall under Little Green Cars’ spell while watching the dreamy video to “My Love Took Me Down to the River to Silence Me.”

What Oh Boy Les Mecs Sound Like:
“Future forest dweller science fiction experimental synthesizer lovers” is what they call themselves on Twitter. To us, they’re just Oh Boy Les Mecs. The duo, made up by singer, Tracy Marcellino, and multi-instrumentalist, Hanford Pittman, have an eclectic sound made up by psychedelic, synth-heavy rhythms. Raising the bar with their first EP, Nurture Nuture, released earlier this year, their emotionally intense and electronic complexity is delivered in five tracks. Driving, dreamy, and rhythmatic is how they’ve been described. Catch them live to see for yourself September 27th!
