WHY YOU SHOULDN’T MISS OUT:
Nothing makes us happier at Echo than to have nights of young cool bands that we want to share with you. And tonight you have four that are not to be missed!
From the kids of the FMLY Collective is DREAM PANTHER. Glitchy, electronic, and psychedelic dub are a few words that can describe this project. Or better yet, just look at their artwork and you can see how they sound.
GOTHIC TROPIC is fronted by Echo Park charmer Cecilia Della Peruti and they play a groovy bent up post-punk dance music. We dare you to stand still during their thumps and bumps!
GANGI takes their weird lo-fi experimental pop music and twists it and turns it with various knobs, reverbs, and delays .. and somehow it all makes memorable sense!
Sweating doesn’t seem so bad when you’re dancing to CUCKOO CHAOS — these guys from San Diego will make you twitch and toe tap with their African hi-life guitar sound and smart dance tunes. Remember the first time Vampire Weekend played the Echo? Well this very well could be one of those nights…
9pm-9:30pm DREAM PANTHER
9:45pm-10:15pm GOTHIC TROPIC
10:30pm-11pm GANGI
11:15pm CUCKOO CHAOS
THIS SHOW IS $7 AT THE DOOR. DON’T MISS OUT ON THESE BANDS.
